Good morning! I know it's only been a few hours since my last post, but I have a long day today and may not post again until later in the weekend. I wanted to share about this swap! I have never done a swap before and since I began reading blogs, I've always wanted to. For those of you new to this (like me), the idea is that you get matched up with a partner by the swap hostess and then you send one another things based on a theme. Ornaments, knitting, colors (everything pink and brown for example) or anything to inspire creativity. Rules are set by the hostess regarding dates, spending limits etc.
The one I'm participating in is The Vintage Kitchen Swap hosted by Mica over at Garb-oodles Soup. I got matched up with Kelli and I think we'll be a good pair because it's her first time too. By the way, on a side note...Mark thinks this whole "sending people you don't know stuff" is a bit weird, but if you read blogs, then you know that it is just a way to connect and inspire creativity with someone outside of your immediate circle.
I know myself well and the only danger in doing this is that I'll put pressure on myself to make everything perfect, but I just have to accept the fact that we don't know one another and she'll know I did my best. At least we share a common interest of vintage-ey things!
I think the vintage kitchen theme is the best one for me to start with and I cannot wait to get my package off to Kelli, but it will involve some thrifting! I already found one little thing at St. Vincent's and I kind of want to keep it, but I won't.
OK all, off to work! Have a great day!
