People ask me all the time if my kitchen really is orange...it is! I don't do the bulk of my work in the kitchen, I have studio space, but the kitchen is where I often feel the most inspired. I consider it an extension of my studio.
My creativity in the studio is intrinsically linked my creativity in the kitchen. If a project isn't working, I head downstairs to make a pot of soup or a batch of cookies and suddenly the solution to a snag in a project I've been struggling with pops into my mind. I lined the inside of my cabinet doors with vintage children's book images, postcards, paper patterns, theater tickets and pictures. They look plain on the outside, but each time I open one, I'm hit with a million ideas. My kitchen and my studio both feed me on many levels.
Here is where I archive the recipes from my posts. Below, you'll find a brief description of the recipe and a link to the original post.
Enjoy!
- Crepes: So good and nice for summer lunches.
- Beet Cake: Really, this cake is amazing. I had one reader make it and she reported that it didn't firm up as well as she wanted, but it was still delicious. You may have to adjust and add more flour if your beets seem extra juicy.
- Marshmallows and Persian Candy (Gaz): The recipes were not my own, but I did some tweaking.
- Super Fast Sushi: My friend Kelly let me take some pictures as she made me dinner...lucky me.
- The Best Blueberry Muffins!
- Blueberry Muffins Made With Agave Syrup Instead of Sugar
- Janet's Granola Bread
- The Best French Toast The Entire Universe (and that's an understatement): My own recipe...The secret is yogurt instead of milk.
- Rhubarb Crumble
