Yesterday I posted my Epiphany intentions and I thought I'd follow up with a few pictures of how it looked around here late last night. As per usual, my photos won't win any awards, but I'm glad I'll have them as a reminder.
This is my little Befana and her broom...given to me by someone who once called me her most magical fairy friend thus sealing the deal on a lifetime of friendship. I caught Befana taking a breather on the ficus.
I don't blame her...she's tiny and this must have been a heavy load. By the way...I have no idea why my shoes look so small next to Mark's. I wear a grand size 8-8.5 wide which is large for my 5 foot one and three quarter inch height. Mark wears an 11 or a 12 so mine shouldn't look so little, but I'll take the winter miracle!
psst...my red heels were thrifted and only $4.00
I did as I said...burned frankincense, prayed, meditated and this morning emptied my glass of water down the drain. I decided to take the Christmas tree down last night. but kept the ficus decorated with a few year-round baubles.
Mark is going to be the epiphany sweeper today, so that's nice. I think it's good to have both of us participate in clearing the house for the new year.
Oh...something I forgot to mention. The Magi are never actually referred to as men. Did you realized this? I think it makes sense if you read yesterday's post. I mean, who ever heard of three men stopping to ask an old woman for directions! Agahaahahahahaha! I kill myself! Sorry to stereotype, but if the shoe fits...
