Remember the last Frida wallet I made from a book jacket? This one is from a Frida calendar. Upcycling rules!
I'm happy with how it turned out and am hoping Carly likes it. I added a sleeve with seven pockets for credit cards and photos and three additional sleeves for identification or business cards. I feel lucky because I happened to find a Spanish magazine's profile on Diego Rivera and used some of his portraits of Frida in the lining.
Today is a bit nuts...I have quite the wallet making schedule ahead of me and plan to drop at least fifteen or twenty off at The Flying Pig tomorrow. I may take a break and a nap before I get started. I have a real craving for spring rolls, so I may need to make a few before I do the wallets...oh, and then there is another special order that must must be done tonight too...and I must must must must must make some magnets. Will it be a one French press of coffee evening or two? We shall see what we shall see. Maybe I need to ease up on the musts.
By the way...another blog made its way into my consciousness recently...and she regularly has stellar give-aways (including right now). Be sure to stop by. I find her so damn inspiring that I almost can't even write about her...she's proof that you can go after what your heart wants and life will change on a dime...teaching art in Italy, a book deal, licensing and blessings beyond belief....all after 30. Right on.
I love it! I want a Frieda!! PLEASE?

I love Frida! This is just perfect! What a great idea with the cc and photo holder inserts- would love to see how that works...
